SONIC TIME MACHINE

This page gives you a chance to hear some of my earlier works. Each piece you here is totally off the wall. There were no rehearsals or preconceived ideas towards the subject before the tape ran. Each multi track layer was recorded as soon as the tape was rewound.

1979-1984 was my analogue mono synth and string machine period. I started using digital synths from 1984. The first computer that I used was a BBC B, in 1988 I went onto use CLAB with Atari ST.

There are no scores or records of notation of any work before 1985.

The way I worked from early on made me listen to all the other layers of music very intensely as I recorded. It help to develop my form of music where there are lots of events occurring at the same time at different levels. As in life some levels are more complementary towards each other while others are confrontational.
